Researcher at the ELTE Institute for Political Science
Welcome!
I’m a political scientist, born, raised, and currently based in Budapest. I have recently completed my PhD in Political Science at Corvinus University of Budapest, where I’ve also been teaching since 2022. Since May 2025, I have been working as a researcher at the Centre for Political Science (ELTE).
My research focuses on political polarization, autocratization, and corruption. I’m particularly interested in how affective polarization emerges, how it threatens democracy, and how its effects can be mitigated. My work has been published in Political Studies, Political Studies Review, Public Choice, Public Policy and Administration, and European Political Science.
I hold a BSc in Economics and an MSc in Public Policy and Management from Corvinus. During my studies, I spent semesters at Sciences Po Lyon, the University of Groningen, and the University of Palermo. In 2023/24, I was a visiting PhD researcher at the Hertie School in Berlin with DAAD funding. I also worked part-time for three years as a policy analyst at the Budapest Institute, an independent policy research institute.
